i couldn't wait for this sequel to finish Sarah's story. took me a few days to savor this book. It picked up where Mountains Wanted left off and i appreciated that (i hate reading a sequel that skips ahead in the story for a period of time). It flowed nicely and i never wondered "well what happened to get to this point?" Sarah's story is sexy. There is lots of sex in this book, both traditional & non-traditional sex, so if you are put off by such things, then this book is not for you. Sex aside, the story is great. it truly is a love story, just for the modern liberal world )
Phoebe Alexander is an incredible writer who's words wrap around you and make you feel.
So many ups and downs! Loved every steamy and heartbreaking moment of this book! Sarah is a strong, loving, passionate lead character and she shines so bright in the Mountains Trilogy. I can't wait to start book 3!
What an amazing love story. Heavy sex scenes which some were bearable and and some were amazing. Extremely well written, great characters. The story goes on and I will read the next book. This is NOT a cliffhanger.
I loved the sequel to Mountains Wanted! I'm having myself a little Mountains-cation because I can't pull myself away from the series. Even though Sarah and James are apart for most of the book, it feels like they're together and it's amazing to see Sarah caring for herself and putting herself out there, going for what she wants, even though she's hurting. Sure, some scenes are a little, ahem, unconventional, but once again, Mountains expanded my horizons and I'm so glad I read it. On to Mountains Loved!
I bought this book the moment I finished reading Mountains Wanted. This is the most beautifully written book I've read in so long. There's lots of hot sex, but the love story that runs through it will pull at your heart to the point of tears. Sarah, the heroine, is - for a change- an accomplished Doctorate of Sociology who teaches, authors, and explores human sexuality. James, her true love, is like a polar opposite. Military, everything being black and white in his world, while Sarah's is filled with hues of every color. I cried when I read this book - and it's prequel. I rarely cry over a romance story, but this story goes far beyond romance and into territory so much deeper. Absolutely loved it!
This review is very hard for me to write! How do you describe in words how much you love something?!? Well I'm going to start by saying Phoebe Alexander is an exceptional writer! It was just flawless! I loved every minute of it! She made Sarah the most amazing character I have ever read! And while your reading you get sucked in and it feels like you are her, you are Sarah when reading this! This is just an amazing series! But make sure you read Mountains Wanted first. Both books are amazing! And when you get done reading you will take something away with you! And I really hope we can get to see more of Sarah and James! I'm just in love with them! (Sarah more) )l
This is the second book in this series. I loved this book and was so happy at the end! The characters of James and Sarah are so realistic. On the other hand, the character of Garrett was one I disliked from the beginning. He seemed so overpowering and ugly as a person. I was so happy when Sarah figured this out. I also like these books because the setting is in Maryland. This is so interesting. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
